Punjabiyat is not just bhangra, makki di roti, and sarson da saag. Punjabiyat is a spirit — the spirit of seva. Our Gurus taught us: serve without discrimination. We are the inheritors of the tradition of langar. And for me, my operation theatre is my place of seva.

Think about it — an elderly mother who cannot walk properly, having to travel 300 km for treatment? Away from family, spending on hotels, far from loved ones. I made a decision: if the world's best technology cannot come to our people, we will bring that technology to Punjab.

That is why I speak to every patient in their own language — in Punjabi, openly, warmly.
